Pediatric Restorative Dentistry and Behavior Management. Practical Clinical Solutions for The General Dentist. A two-day hands-on lab and lecture course
As a group, General Dentists treat more children in the US than do Pediatric Dentists. Yet, the pediatric dental curriculum in our dental schools does not adequately prepare the General Dentist to treat this patient population. Pediatric patients are not just miniature adult patients they have their own set of unique restorative problems and behavioral circumstances that require additional knowledge and experience to manage.
This course will provide the General Practitioner who is treating children with an understanding and knowledge of clinical pediatric dentistry, far beyond what was learned in dental school. The participants of the course will use specialized typodonts to have a hands-on learning experience for both posterior and anterior restorative procedures.
During this course you will learn:
- Primary restorative procedures
- Pulp treatment
- Full crown restorations metal and esthetic
- Space maintenance: when its needed and what to use
- Extractions of primary teeth
- Local anesthesia tips and tricks
- Behavior management
- ...and much more.
